AI-native is a design choice
Technology and artificial intelligence
An AI-native product is not an existing product with a chat box added to it.
It begins with a more fundamental question: if intelligence were inexpensive, responsive, and present throughout the experience, how would this product be designed from the beginning?
The answer may remove screens, steps, and features rather than add them. It may change who does the work. It may turn a tool into an outcome, or a fixed interface into an adaptive one.
We are still in the phase where many companies are decorating old software with AI. That will improve. The more interesting products will come from people willing to redesign the entire experience around the new capability.
