Human judgement moves up the stack

When machines become capable of more work, the human role does not simply disappear. It moves.

The valuable contribution shifts from producing every component to setting direction, defining standards, noticing what is missing, and accepting responsibility for the result.

This is already visible in creative work. Generating an image is becoming easier. Knowing which image belongs, what it should communicate, and whether it is good enough remains difficult.

AI reduces the cost of execution. It does not remove the need for taste, context, or accountability.

The danger is that people may surrender judgement precisely when the leverage of good judgement is becoming much larger.
