Information is abundant, attention is allocated

We speak about attention as if it were constantly stolen.

Platforms certainly compete to capture it. But attention is also allocated through habits, environments, and choices. The phone within reach, the notification left on, and the reflex to fill every pause all participate in the decision.

This is not about blaming individuals for systems designed to be compelling. It is about recovering some agency.

Attention is one of the few resources that directly shapes the life we experience. What repeatedly receives it eventually becomes our world.
